Default handlebar advice

I want to change out my bars on my 69 FLH. I have 1 inch bars now, but want to go a little taller, 16's, but 1 1/4 fat bars. The problem is I can't find any fat bars that don't have the dimples for late controls. Would it be worth changing to 72 up controls instead of the screw in type 69 switches. Is it worth it for just another 1/4 inch in diameter? I know, what do you want to spend and how bad do you want the fat bars. I'm looking for a yes or no I guess. I should add the fact that the perches and master cylinder are updated already. Thanks for any and all advice for a final decision.

If it were me I wouldn't put the fat bars on. I'm just not into the look. I am a fan of tall bars though. I however, don't have any wiring up in the controls so dimpled bars of any sort aren't an issue.
