Default Saving Money

Recently unemployed, I needed to trim my monthly expenses. I've been with State Farm insurance for over 35 years, and I've been paying just shy of $40 a month for coverage on my 1979 FXEF. I saw a tv ad for Grundy Worldwide on the car programs I watch, and gave them a call. Yes, they insure classic bikes like mine. Bottom line: I switched to Grundy for $114 a year! I'm saving over $360 bucks a year. Same coverage I had with State Farm. This isn't a pitch for Grundy, and I have nothing to gain by posting this, but I just want to give you guys with classic bikes another option for insurance. If you're interested you can Google them for info.

That is a pretty good savings but what kind of insurance do you have? In FL you don't need insurance on a motorcycle but I always kept it, glad that I did. I had an accident in December, hit by an uninssured kid driving a 20 year old truck. You can't get PIP on a motorcycle and they offer only minimal medical payments. Anyway my medical bills are over 300K already. I had BCBS which pays most of it and unissured motorist paid the rest as well as paying out on the bike. Don't skimp on your coverage, especially uninsured/underinsured motorist.

I live in Ohio, rates may be different here.

I had State Farm insure my 1980 as a classic.

Full coverage, and the bike is covered for 13,000

I pay around 100.00 per year. You may want to

look into this.

I live in NC. Have a '72 Fx. I pay State Farm 312 a year. That is just Liability, Fire Theft and Un Under insured.
