thanks for wiring diagram Country Punk it already has marine switch set up... the push button goes right on end of solenoid to get rid of relay and push button on bars. makes it way easy.

she runs really good and seems like low mile motor. no odometer to tell, but I am gonna do a top end job on it for sure before any long rides.
so the minor tear down turned into a complete overhaul! decided that I am just gonna tear it all down and make sure I know what I have.
anyway, looks like the tranny is in great shape. cleaned her up in solvent tank and drained out old oil. was suprised to find that the tranny actually kept all the oil in and it looked real good coming out. not milky at all.
next step is to remove the swing arm fromthe frame and get both pieces of frame prepped for powder coating.
anyone know where I can find kickstart install instructions online?

If you're removing the swing arm anyway, you should hunt down a round swingarm from a pan. As far as I know they don't require any modification, just a bolt on. They look better and, because of the shock angle, drop the bike lower with longer shocks. It's a win, win from everything I've read.
