Stuck motor
Working on restoring the bike and can't get the motor to turn over. New battery, lights come on, starter engages but won't turn motor. Possible to turn motor over to verify pistons are not stuck?

The safe way to turn it over would be to remove the spark plugs,jack up the back wheel , put it in gear and try to turn it over that way,if it does not move spray (soak) the cylinders down with WD-40 for a few days and then try it again. If the rings are stuck you will need to get the pistons to move for dis-assemble and repair anyway.

Motor turned over with spark plugs removed. Engaged the starter and tapped the starter motor with a hammer and she broke free! Motor spins with no odd noices and have good spark at the plugs.
