Hello all.
I have an 83 Shovel FLHT with 24,900 miles. This bike runs like a top. The motor has not had any engine work done since I have not seen any signs of it needing to be done.
My question is would you recommend putting a higher-end cam into the bike now even though I have never had a rebuild done yet? The compression seems high, she doesn't burn oil or leak oil. I just thought it may be a cool idea to get a little more horses out of her so I have been tossing the idea around to throw in an Andrews or S&S cam upgrade.
Any ideas on if this would be a good move?
Thanks in advance
