Shovelhead Battery cover?
I'm on the hunt for a very strange Shovelhead battery cover. The cover is off a Frankenstein bike, the motor should be around a '73-'74. The cover is branded Harley Davidson Motor Company. Its a one piece cover, no strap, it has a bolt hole where battery box also mounts, plus bolt holes where the straps would be, it measures about 6 3/4 by 7in. The motor is not a stock SS.

From what I remember should be on the bike is a wrap around side cover with a seperate top and a metal strap to hold it in place that was held down by a stud on one end and a lip on the other.I have never seen a cover mount were you have the arrow pointing.
The mount is for the battery tray and not the cover.
