Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but does anyone know what kinda bike this is and if so how to get the battery cover off trying to help a guy out and he didnt tell me what model it was just the year?
Yes Sir thank you but he has taken the seat off already and tried but no luck he is trying to tighten the Neg. cable up and the cover is blocking the way and he cant figure out how to get the cover off do you or anyone know of any special tricks?
I believe there is a bolt under the battery base that loosens up and allows the battery to drop down so you can get the cover off. It's a real b***ch if you don't know about it. Hope this helps...
It's a sportster 04 or above and the battery cover is on the left side and the battery cover \\;can be removed by pushing up at the bottom and pulling it out, two plastic clips at the bottom you just pop it out of. then there is a metal brace that goes around the battery with a bolt at the bottom, if you remove the bolt the battery will just slide out, no need to remove the seat or anything.
