And if you mean "nobodys an expert", except me, then that might also make sense.
I do not need to do any research, and I am an expert.

I don't think anyone has been hailed a hero, probably just your cocky attitude. End of conversation also, I know where you record stands on this forum as being a "Know it All" and personal attacks on who you think doesn't know as much as you think you do. I've worked with people like you for 40 years and know exactly how to deal with them.

dot 3 and 4 are mineral oil,they absorb water and boil when brakes get hot.4 has a higher boil point then 3.dot 5 is silicone it doesn't absorb water.nothing different in systems,you can use any of the three but you cant mix them..it turns to Jello and plugs everything up..the labels on the parts are just to try to idiot proof everything.makes it more confusing on custom work
some shops try to sell it as the same stuff.
Usually older HDs use DOT5... I do not about new ones since I do not have any.

Yea, its so clear that you even have a suggestion.. Nothin like a know it all.. I'll be the first to admit I dont and am always open for advice.. On the surface, you may be correct, but in my situation, I've learned that the traditional thinking has not identified the cause, not just by me but many other guys who know much more about EVO's than I. The bypass will be rated for the micron rating, with a 5m filter, high volume could trigger the bypass on a system designed to use a 30m filter(less restrictive)... The bypass may not provide the volume needed to feed the system...The EVO is a low pressure system, but the volume must be there... With my 20+ years of wrenching, I've learned a couple of things. Nothing is impossible and you can never say the words cant and wont. And dont be a ******** before knowing all the details..

I just state the facts regarding motorcycles.
You focus on trying to get out of the hole you have dug for yourself, ........ by digging deeper.
If you feel silly when someone posts correct info, contradicting what you have stated, then look to yourself.
Refrain from posting opinion as fact.
This is a brake thread. People could literally be killed if they followed some of the garbage posted.
If your sensibilities have been offended, then at least your life has been preserved.
