All good points ,New Battery check for dryrot on tires.Never crank with power put some pentrating oil in cylinders rotate by hand.If it was hydrolocked you don.t want to damage cylinders and rings. If it rotates clean gas start it ,let it rip then start playing with the leaks.Get out and run it Shovel have there own following.I have two and have surprised many Evo's.
Not bad , custom fenders and a few other new goodies I see . Do yourself a favor since it's been sitting go ahead do all the upper end gaskets from cases up while it's still winter out . Shovels particularly the earlier ones like to puke rocker cover & base gaskets if they sit a while . May take a little riding but it will happen sooner than later . Gaskets get the new metal foam ones not the old paper ones please , they do cost a bunch more but are one time things while the paper ones get a couple years tops if you ride any amount of miles .
Good luck man looks like a decent find .
Don't believe the old bull shovel always leak , mine hasn't in so long I check the oil just to see if it's got any and most of the new bikes in here have way less mileage on them than mine .
Shovels are my thing Pm me if you've got questions or need a bit of " What is this ? "
