Cross over pipe

Cross over pipe
I'm sorting out the exhaust system on my '80 FLH. The left exhaust was just slid over the cross over header pipe. I see no way to seal the two pipes together. There's no room to tighten a clamp. I would like to keep this old Shovel pretty close to stock.
Can someone tell me what holds the pipe to the header?

Hey ragman, nice bike heres a when I found it pic and in progress pic. It's a 79 FLH and there is no clamp!
