I had a S&S 93 cubic inch Hot Set-Up kit put in my bike last winter and since I've got it back the motor has maybe had an hour of run time on it. My problem is that I can't get the bike to start, it sat all winter and most of spring and i rode it a few times on a gravel road without the derby cover on the Dyna S ignition, and I was wondering if maybe the little bit of dust from riding and the dust and moisture from sitting could cause my bike not to kick over. By the way the bike is kick start only so it's sort of a pain to have to kick it over and over again. If anyone has any info or some advice I would appreciate it, thanks.

Getting any spark at all ? try retarding the timing a bit and get a decent supply of new plugs till you get some more break in miles on her and find the sweet spot for timing , I'm running the same engine and early on they can be a bitch on plugs till broken in .

if you have spark than it is more likely fuel. If the bike ran fine I imagine the timing isn't off to much. Maybe you have to prime the motor with fuel for a cold start. My 80" shovel is kick only . When I start it cold I give it 5 kicks (just turning the motor over) with choke on and ignition off. On kick # 6 I turn on the ignition and she fires up .
