My buddy picked up a 1971 FX Superglide, just out of the crate, 0 miles on it, of course, all original. Anyone have any idea of what it's approximate value would be?

No more than a RUB who couldn't maintain it is willing to pay. What did HE pay for it? Love this BS thread...
And what work does it need? Crate or not, 40 years took its toll. Seals, tires, brake lines, etc. This post is fairly amazing. Would be a red, white and blue original with boat-tail. Harley would buy this...but your friend found it and bought it and now wants to know what its worth? Pics?
Yes, 1971 was the first year for the Super Glide. I'm not an expert on old motorcycles by any means. The reason I know this is that my late husband had one, along with several other old Harley Davidsons. Some day soon I plan to start riding again when a friend gets one of the old bikes running again.

So you've seen it? Where are the pics? Sorry but this is one of those I will believe it unless I see it.
Seems a bike shipped from the factory would still have a couple of test miles on them?
