Default Chain
Just put a new final drive chain on about 1500km ago,,dried up right away so I spray on chainlube every couple rides,Chain has loosened up considerably and is always red,why is it turning red?

what color is your gear oil in tranny?

Could be as described or good old fe02 (ferrous oxide) more commonly known as rust...

Yep and the beat goes on , loved those plain 530 chains that lasted about 3 months like that . Next time spend the money and get a Tsubaki O-ring chain , it will stretch 2 or 3 times and quit is self lubed you can give it a shot monthly . Got over 20,000 miles out of one before .
