In your other thread you wanted to know what to use to clean the carbon off your pistons and in the combustion chamber. You can find a variable number of carbon cleaners at the autoparts stores to do the job, followed up by a drimmel and wire wheel. I don't know how many miles you have on the top end, but you may want to consider just taking the jugs w/pistons and heads down to your local shop and getting them checked for a possible overbore and new pistons. Same for the heads; having the valves checked in the guides, and new seals.
As far as the cam, check the Andrews website. They will give you all the specs on the "B" grind and what the cam will fit, and if you need to machine the valves for lift.
I'm willing to bet someone will chime in and let you know whats going on with the cam. Here's what I found:

I put a B cam in my 80-80. in 2003. It doesn't seem to come into power as early as the stock cam. It doesn't really suit my riding style. Only other power addition is the S&S with the acel pump. Heads were rebuilt and modified back in '94 to take other than near stock cams.
Cam is prob the BH version. The shop owner told he had a used B grind for $50 and he asked if the heads had been mofied.

The B is for pumped motors , strokers with higher compression and lighter flywheels and solid lifters . The power band doesn't start coming in till 2500 to 2800 rpm so to get any real use out of it you really on the gearbox and the throttle . Stock shovel the OEM will give more .

Not knocking you man , I've had at least half the Andrews cams I've tried myself or installed for people come from the factory with the gear out of time and then a bunch of owners pissed at me because the cam they bought didn't do it for them . It get's you where you want to go is all that matters , personally I have no use for them . Think I still have a " C " and # 6 for early shovels somewhere .
It's all good .

Make sure that the cam is for the late shovels not the early , there's a difference in the pitch of teeth and and mixing will grind case your gearcase guts shortly . Early cam gears where usually smooth face while the later has a groove in it . You cam use your OEM one but somebody better know what they are doing and you need a decent press.
