Default check ball

Problem on some of the old steel bodied pumps was a check ball that was not seating properly. What you did is take a steel rod and weld it to the end of the check ball, use a bit of lapping compound and turn it into the seat and create a better seat for the check ball.

Not sure the same solution would apply to an aluminum pump.

Use an evo pushrod the ball on the end is the same size exactly . You can just tap it a couple times LIGHTLY to seat or use a little lapping compound to gently lap in a seat . Only do this with the pump off so you can clean it thoroughly .

The brass bushing is a standard size any decent hardware should have 3/8"ID x 1/2" OD , helps center it when doing the lap . You bevel the edge a bit so it catches the first thread .
