New To This
My father and I have recently decided to hunt for and restore a mid seventies and up shovelhead flh or similar. My dad owned a motorcycle in his younger days so much of his knowledge has dwindled. That being said we're on the hunt for one that's not in TERRIBLE condition but could use some TLC. were fine with repainting tins and minor motor repairs but would prefer a bike that runs. just wondering if anyone knew of good places to look for project bikes without breaking the bank (around $3,000 max if that's possible?) any words of wisdom or advice for people new and anxious to get into the Harley world would be much appreciated. We're located in southern new jersey.

yeah after some brief looking I've realized that 3k is probably unrealistic, I'm still having trouble finding ones that would be a project, most I come by have already been restored.
