Does anyone know where I can get an OEM replacement for the rocker style kill switch for my 1976 H-D FLH?
Also, if one cannot be found, what is the down side to simply bypassing it by soldering the wires together? At the moment, I have an electrical demon that I've not found. I can't get the starter to activate at all. I replaced the start button, then saw the kill switch terminal wire had snapped off at the base. My HD dealer says the part is out of production from HD.
I could use a good trouble shooting plan to find out where my problem is.
Any after market parts supplier like Custom Chrome or Vtwin sell those switches still and check your wiring diagram before you start whacking & splicing stuff please .
