Hey guys need some help... I got my 81 shovel started ran great for 3 weeks now sat for 2 days now it's back firing in the idle.. What do u think I should do? I was going to reset the push rods.
Normally, in my experience, if it is sitting there idling, sneezes, idles for a while, sneezes it is normally due to a lean condition. Sometimes it is the jetting. Too lean on the main. Most of the time it is a leak in the intake manifold.
For some friggin reason, the scoot runs soooooooooooooo good on Saturday night, and you get up on Sunday morning and it runs like ****. It turns out to be intake manifold o-rings or carb mounting gaskets. It just happens.
But pm Twisted. If he can't figure it out, it can't be fixed! He He He!
