Hello,
Just installed a Primo Rivera clutch on my 83 FLH. It has a belt drive primary. It seems to have a hard time shifting into gears/neutral and only does so w/ I give it a quick rev between gears. Any suggestions on the adjustment to the clutch. It seems to feel better than the stock clutch setup.
Thanks but any suggestions on the clutch adjustment if that's the cause. I definitely ain't digging the way it doesn't shift. You said it, "hard as hell" to shift. I am hoping to keep this clutch setup but if this persists, I might be inclined to go back to the stock setup.
That was an adjustment suggestion , those either work or they don't . All you can do is take a little more slack out the cable and if you don't have any look at the belt , is it tight ?
I'm putting one on my Knuckle Friday. Looks like no need to have to grease up the bearings all the time (belt drive) so that's the reason I got it. I'll let you know if I have any problems.
How did the install go? And the clutch adjustment? I'm still having a a hard time shifting to the high gears. Downshifting is no problem. Let me know if yours is easy to shift. Also, are you using a hand or foot clutch? My left forearm is starting to get larger from the squeezing this lever.
Turns out my mainshaft is bent and I had to tear the tranny apart and get it ready fior the new one. Looks like I should get it back together ~10/14/12 so I'll keep you posted.

I have a hand clutch, no mousetrap. I'll let you know how it feels when it's all done.
