82 FXR top end kits
Aloha, I'm looking for top end (barrels, pistons, and assembled
heads <unleaded>) kit for my '82 FXR 80 cu. in. J&P cycles has
the S&S kit for $2,200.00,.....does anyone know of other deals?
And, perhaps a S&S carb.

What is wrong with the heads and cylinders on the bike now? Where do you want to go with the bike, as in more horsepower and torque, reliability? Even if you buy a "kit" can you do the work yourself. Does the "kit" come with all of the gaskets?

What are you trying to accomplish ? There's a number way to get there just need to know what your desired end result is . Those " kits " are pricey and ok if the motor's a total trasher , other better ways to go with the OEM stuff and cheaper depending .
