Default Shovelhead bagger project update
Project initial fitting is complete. Changed rear fender to Klock Werks Softail stretched 4". Cycle Vision Softail bag mounts and fillers. Hoppe fairing. Going to chage front fender to Klock Werks Wrapper. Fat boy fender just isn't tight to tire enough.Shovelhead bagger project update-1981-front-fairing-view-2.jpg

I like the fit of the bags ... Post a side view when you get a chance ... You're right about the fender ... Keep up the good work!

I'm following this build. Want to find out what a Shovel looks like with the newer hard bags.

here is a pic whee the bag meets the shock. Nice thing about using the softail mount is it drops the backs a bit for a little bit of a lower look. Plus the rear of the bag is even and matches the fender perfect. part went to paint. I'll post updates when I get them back

Frame finally came back from powder coat. Engine is installed and Baker trans. The assembly has finally begun.

made progress last couple weeks. bike is wired and rolling. plan to test fire soon. Still waiting on the painted tins.
