Are seats fairly universal?

Are seats fairly universal?
Ultimately wanting to get Mustang Wide Touring on my FLHS....but these seats are nearby, look older because of the multi-color emblem on the back of the backrest.

If they're off of something like an FXE....FXSB, dunno..whatever.....I guess I'm asking are seats fairly universal for Harleys? Or seats from an FX chassis will not fit on an FL chassis, or has to be within certain years,...whatever.
