Do you guys with the 1983 flhs find it strange that when looking up parts that our year model is sometime not listed! It shows like 1976-1982, 1984.
Holy thread resurrection Batman!! Dep, I too have an 83 FLHS. If you have access to the factory HD Parts manual (pn. 99456-84B) for the 1941-1981 FL's, go to page 278 in the back of the manual, there is a section dedicated to the FLHS's. Being they were made up of parts from the FX's, this section includes those parts you may be referring to as not listed. The whole premise of the 83 FLHS's were to be a stripped down FLH, with footpegs instead of floor boards, belt drive, buckhorn handlebars, FX exhaust, etc. Hope this helps.
