Default griding noise

I have a 1966 shovelhead. When I take off there is a grinding noise coming from the transmission . I'm wondering if a rebuild is in my future or if it's just the old clutch plates . Any help would be appreciated.

Default

drop the trans oil into a very clean pan ( one quart is all that fits ) and look at it after poring most off and see if it sparkels ( like gold paning ) -- look into the drain plug and dig out the plug see whats in it

and maybe stop riding it before the rear wheel locks -- johnjzjz
