Make sure you get the correct seats and suspension assembly. I have listed part numbers from the Harley Part Catalog.
There are two different types. And White seats came in two types, leather and vinyl.
The FL rigid motor mount frame used 52418-81. Wht Leather 952516-78, vinyl 52516-77A
The FLT Rubber Mount frame used(52510-80). Leather seat 52534-77, Vinyl 52534-78.
The rear mounting point is the same on the rear fender. But the front point it mount to the frame is different.
The Solid mount is rounded and mounts on the cross pipe under the seat.
The FLT Rubber Mount Frame mounting point is flat and fits in the pan under the seat.
I still have the seats from my Shovel FLT.
The back rest pad is the same on all seats from 1980 to 1986 (non Tour Pak mounted).
I hope this helps.

Has anyone adapted the suspension(52418-81) from the FL series rigid frame to the 5 speed rubber mount frame? and what changes did you have to make, to accomplish this?
Thanks.
