Differences between shovel and evo brake cylinders?
I bought a set of floorboard controls from a '93 Heritage Softail to put on my '80 FXWG, and the only piece it didnt come with was the rear brake cylinder. I understand that the evo style master cylinders have a spring return built into the unit, and my Kelsey-Hayes doesnt? Any comments?

i think the later will clear the exhaust - but the end location of the board mounting is foward on the later bikes - but you have mid controls and wont have the frame loop to attach the board if your doing that
if that works out like that, the right side board front mount location will be up foward more than the left
the parts for the correct one for your bike is cheap / available that you need - the plate for the master mount - the master - the pedel and spring and the 4 bolts, and a peg < all that stuff was used for 30 plus years stock 1958 to 1984 all crosses over different pedels but the rest is the same or almost available cad plated or chrome by all the suppliers - jz
