Headlight

So I installed a halogen h4 light,,but still need to rewire bike as wires are broken from switches to harness,,,hi beam works ,so my question is ,has anyone wired hi & lo beam together,,what were the results? and how did you do it?
Also is there any brighter bulbs anyone has used.

Never wired the two together, just one wire from the high beam to switch and one to ground

the headlight is the single biggest draw from your generator/alternator system; you'll be asking too much out of it through the regulator if you do this

Run the power for the headlight through a relay for the high/low don't go through the stock handlebar switches using a halogen light they pull too many amps, those little switches don't like that. Running both together will just shorten the bulb life and put a heavy draw on the electrical system . You can use a 3 position toggle switch without a relay if you have a place to mount it.
