So leaving the line and at low rpm's there is a flat spot in acceleration, and a miss now and then. Plugs are gaped .040, points .018
Timing is advanced as far as plate allows but seems lik I needs to advance farther, can I modify timing plate so it can advance farther? How do I clean up the low end? Thanks
That's the wrong plug gap for points. The gap should be .028-033 The electronic ignition is set wider.
Gaped plugs at .030, reset timing, retarded a little bit from before accel pump seems to work just fine but still runs a little rough at low end. Runs super great while accelerating and in the top end.... Starts is 4 kick stone cold so that's cool.

good news - it's great when little adjustments make a big difference. it may be time to fiddle with idle or intermediate jets
