Default CLUTCH ISSUES!! PLEASE HELP

i replaced my stock clutch cable by taking off the trans. cover (where the clutch cable goes in) and adjusted the inline adjustment and now when my bike is shut off and in gear i pull in the clutch in and the bike wont move without resistance. so i adjusted the inline adjustment again, no luck. so i was told to do a total clutch adjustment by taking the derby cover off and doing all the steps for that. once again no luck. when the bike is running it works fine. i can have it in gear and it dosnt wanna creep forward, and i can have it in gear running and pull in the clutch and it pushesaround fine. it worked fine before the new clutch cable. any ideas?

Nothing to worry about. I work fora dealer as a tech and I push 1000's of bikes around and most of them will do it even proper clutch adjustment. Yes they will move if started but the only reason I can think it does that is because of the variable pressure. With it started and the clutch assembly spinning that spring could be being forced out enough to disengage fully. As long as you did a full proper adjustment and all components are good the bike is fine.

I agree with gerbalfarmer - mine is difficult to push while not running as well... but I have to ask, did you follow the procedures outlined in the service manual when you adjusted everything?
