A full face with a mirror or dark shield can keep authorities or other vermin with cameras from identifying you........ You need to decide if that's important.

OK, I'm cornfused. What part of the skull is NOT covered by a full face? Unless you are referencing the face opening.

I have a modular with a bluetooth set in it and several half helmets. I haven't worn the modular in over a year and really only use it if I am doing a long distance by myself so that I can make an emergency phone call if needed. I think with the half helmets, don't scrimp on the money. Make sure it fits well and most of all that the chin strap is comfortable.

It would probably have been more accurate to refer to them as "impact areas".

Without reading all 8 pages, for riding locally I use the AK-88.
For long distance, I use and love the Bell Pit Boss.


Personally, I find ff to be restrictive and blocks my side view.
