Thanks Joe. I just followed your instructions and it was easy! Yeah, its not OEM quiet but, not very loud either. They have a nice rumble on acceleration that I hope the rocket tips have.
Those look terrific! I wish my pipes stuck out that far past my bags.
Yes those are a bit quiet for my taste as well. I'd be pulling the baffle out of the right side... but I don't think it's reversible so you'll be stuck loud like me (which I like).
Thanks Joe. I did some research and found that after removing the 3 screws that hold the end cap on , I should be able to pull out the baffle or tap it through from the other side. The glass is wrapped around the baffle and taped on and is replaceable. I could remove just the glass I guess or, there is also a restrictor plate that can be removed by grinding the weld away. It was something that Harley wanted for their early EFI bikes. I can see it when I look through the tail end of the muffler. They say it will increase the volume a bit by removing it. Im going to wait 1000 miles before I do anything. Im kind of enjoying the added low end torque at the moment
On mine someone cut the right baffle out completely. I've thought about knocking out the left baffle too but I fooled with it a bit, it is very stuck in there and it sounds good as is so I gave up.
Check out my thread if you do remove the baffles, you will want a thumbscrew to give you most of the mid range torque back by cutting reversion.
The fishtails are a better look on your bike than your other mufflers. They will sound better once that fiberglass burns out, but it may take more than 1,000 miles unless you do some sustained highway runs.

Road trip? Iron Butt? Sounds like the task ahead of you will be tough...a lot of riding! Wis we all had those problems.
In case anyone is interested, here is one of the baffles out of my mufflers. Being that they are new, it slid right out when I removed the tail fin. I left the glass intact but may remove it later today to see how they sound. I wonder if applying some anti-seize to these would keep them from welding themselves inside the muffler? Then again, it might stink, smoke, and burn itself off.
