A shop that does hydraulic work can do that. That's what I did with mine.

Murphy has been doing his best to beat the crap out of me on this project as it is. He deserves some abuse!!!!

Loving life right now. This thing arrived this morning, and it looks like it should line up perfectly:

Well, a few tweaks aside, it is done!

Everything bolted up pretty much as I hoped. I was worried that the 12" hoses were too short for the lowers, but I think they are about perfect. The next available size is 15", and those would be way, way too long.

The 26" for the upper is probably a little longer than it needs to be. I could have gotten away with a 25" or maybe even a 24" on that. No big deal. It still looks good as it is.

Murphy had one last adventure for me. After I got everything buttoned up, I realized the headlight wasn't working. Crap. Pulled it back out, and got lucky: The bulb side of the ground wire was pushed out of the connector. Popped it back in and it's good to go. Screw you, Murphy!

Quick 10 mile test ride and everything seems fine. Really like the bars! Very comfortable! I'm surprised at how easy it handles in tight quarters.

Need to adjust the clutch and throttle cables a bit, but otherwise, I think this one is finished. Thanks to everyone for tips and advice along the way!

Oh, and some pics:

Think that's enough slack?

Can you lift front end off the ground and extend the forks? That will tell you for sure. See my attached pic of the stock length I received in my kit. Sorry I forgot to measure them for you yesterday. Can verify today if ya want me too?

You've certainly got a lot more slack there than I do. Maybe I should go ahead and put on the 15"s.

Kind of what I was thinking. Better safe than sorry.

OTOH, I just remeasured the stockers I took off, and they are almost exactly equal to the 12"s. Maybe a half inch longer is all.

Think I'll run this past the indy next door and see what he thinks.
