Bodacious, I got to apologize to you! I listed the wrong ID size in my original post. You called me on it and I was too stupid to recognize my mistake. Sorry if I cost you any grief! Changed posts to proper tube ID size.

I used the 1/2" black fuel line heat shield, heat shield products, to protect mine. Got it from Amazon, 1/2" x2' $10.

Just finished the breather mod but having the FM air cleaner with stock cover made it a lot easier. Used the stock nipples and about 4' of hose and 2 zip ties. That's it, now we'll see if it dumps oil on the floor after parking a hot engine. Also added another hose [one with white line] to fill in the gap left from the stock tube to make it a total seal.

Now that I have done the bypass, is the gravity flow of gasses going to be enough with nothing pulling it out now?

I took a slightly different approach. I kept the stock "bridge" between the breather bolts and just twisted the centre nipple up and to the side. This let me use a single piece of tubing which I then vented forward to a filter zip tied to one of the coolent lines just above the voltage regulator. Many means to an end I suppose.
