cvaria, just a thought on the grade 8 bolts used with the riser extensions; if the bolts were a ductile stainless steel bolt I'd agree with your concerns but grade 8 bolts are a medium alloy quenched and tempered steel with a proof load of 120,000 PSI. I doubt anything short of you finding another tree on the highway in the rain and darkness will cause those grade 8's to fail
You can check out bolt tensile (breaking) strength HERE

I would definitely look at upgrading the riser bushings if you haven't already...stock harley ones are garbage at best.
Talk to Jim today? I really want to run his risers, but I am not sure about the width of all the MX bars out there. 30+ inches is too wide for me.
called and got no answer, left a message. called wild1 and they said they can't help.
i don't know what the reason for this is but i'm leaning toward low demand. looking like my options are get a cnc and do my own shiz or suck it up and get some tall risers and use some 1" bars.
cnc is maybe out of the question unless i make a career change to entrepreneur.

Why not just get a set of bars like wild1's street fighters or something with integral risers

No adjustability. I looked forever for a set of 1 1/4" tracker style bars to go with my stock 1 1/4" risers and couldn't find any. Ended up switching to 1" risers and some mini apes. Been considering going back to a bar/riser set up if I can ever find a set I like.

Fixed bars don't allow for rotation and further customizations like wider or more compact bars... but I probably won't change the bars out any time soon.
I think 1" will win just because of market support. Wild1 had a 1-1/4 7" but, it had a 1" pull back.
If you decide to go with 1", not sure what kind of bars you'd be looking at but I run the Big Al's low bars and love them
Love them, had a few different setups on before these but I've stuck with these. They've got a lower rise set than this one (2.5" vs 3.5") if you don't want too much rise out of the bars. Don't think I would ever go to a fixed set of tbars, coming from dirtbike riding as a kid these just seemed to fit the bill perfect.

Outstanding! Only issue is they will not allow for micky mouse guage mounts. Lucky daves, joker machine.... etc... I think i'll try them anyway. They just need to be powder coated
