Looking for more, no idea where to begin.
I have a 14 FXDF 103, and winter showed up this week. So she's in the garage for 6 months, and I'm kicking around what I'm going to do.
I'm going to do some powder coating.
Not sure yet, but possibly some BR custom mini apes, like 10 or 12's, and going to do a few go-fast mods.
I have V&H BSS pipes with the 2-1-2 chamber and DK torque inserts, DK custom's intake, PowerVision, and Dyno tune.
A good friend just ordered the fuel Moto 107 with B heads, and the 777 cams, and I was thinking of going down that road, but really don't want to do the same thing as my friend.
I was thinking S&S 106, and I've heard Hillside has a 110 kit, but can't find it on their site.
Basically I'm thinking about throwing about 2-3k at the motor this winter, and want some giddy-up toys.
I'm not sure if money would be better spent on things like crank, bearings, and gear drive cams, or a full "kit" with cams, jugs, and heads.
My primary concerns are reliability, longevity, and usability. I must be honest, I read here a lot and still don't understand if my 103 is capable of being built past a 110, ( 117, 124) or if a kit like a 107 or 110 is really all I need.
I generally ride kinda hot at the bottom, banging through the gears like 0-60 type riding, with short trips on highways cruising
For what it's worth, Hillside is located about an hour from me, but I do have the knowledge and tools to do pretty straight forward work.
I use the bike to commute to work (about 20 miles round trip) in warm weather, and other than that it's a "bar hopper" with some weekend short day trips.
I plan on keeping the bike long term, my boy is 17 and loves it, I'm sure it will be his within the next few years.

We do have 110" drop-on kits in various configurations.
Give us a call.
