Sux & sucky deal...very glad to see you're able to walk away from this mishap. Maybe use the misfortune to throw some cool upgrades/mods on the bike...?? Heal well & ride-on!
yeah I wanted to change bars anyway, depends on what the insurance says.
Now I'm not a religious person but I would be kissing a spiritual butt if that was the extent of the damage to the bike and ME.
So I dropped my bike off at Harley to get an estimate on the damage for my insurance. If the the forks and frame are straight and it's only cosmetic damage I'll do the work my self.

Hey man, glad you're okay. Got hit myself a few weeks ago while splitting when a guy didn't stay in his lane while I was going past and pinched me between another car. As long as you're buying parts for the bike, check out the Bung King crashbars, saved my *** in this instance.
That's badass I never know they made anything like that. I want to protect my motor as much as possible in the event of an accident but don't like a full crash bar on this particular bike. I was tryin to think of something I could fabricate but I love the look of this. And as I'm typing this I just realized this probably won't work with forward controls

Stay safe out there, all these 'techies' in the bay on their phones.
thanks Shaunchez those were on my list before the accident definitely on my list now, one of the first things I'm gonna after I replace all the trashed parts.

Yeah it mounts to the bike where the forward controls are mounted to. However I've seen a bike with a slightly higher crashbar so I know they exist.

For sure, best of luck man. I'll see ya ripping around the bay soon enough.
