The pre-08 had adjustable front and rear mounting points. It should be easy to throw a bag on and see if the mounts have that much adjustment.
The guy who bought my 2011 bags after I added the 2014 bags put the 11 bags on a 2005. We had to adjust the brackets (loosen bolt and move the brackets) but the 11 bags went on the 2005.
Sorry for restarting an old thread, but I have a 2007 FLHTCU and am trying to get clarification on the wrap around saddlebag rails/guards. I know the bags themselves will fit for my year with slight modification to one bracket and adjusting the TP up about an inch or so so that it won't collide when opening and closing the lid. Will the bags fit with the wrap around guards? I believe I may have seen that they'll fit but the guards won't actually protect them because they're slightly bigger than the old style.
Anyone got any experience with this specifically?
