Cvaria's 2007 883 Standard (XLCN): Consolidated Thread of Nonsense (Working)
purposely glossing over the install because it has been covered so many times and there is a sticky for it as well....

party supplies
That was all that came out!!!! a tablespoon of fluid! wtf!
cause... braided line was sliced open by debris... i think.. can't prove it may just go back to stock clutch cables if the new braided one fails as spectacularly as the one that's being removed.
blah... blue bag of plates trick shift is blue like koolaid and stinks like diff fluid.
had to stop and ponder switching the clutch spring. looking at the one i had in the bike already, i remembered that i already had a SE heavy duty clutch spring. it was part of the SE 1200 stage 1 conversion kit. i eventually swapped it out anyway because i could always just change it back. moving on
rivet plate had not grenaded and was in perfect shape.
finished up....
ported over the chain tensioner from the old primary cover to the chrome one yes, there are three primary covers
the gardener wescott kit failed..... had to reuse the lower screws (2 3 4 5)... the kit had a bunch of long screws instead of what was needed... regretting not going alloy boltz for the replacements.. milk spilled
new clutch cable
blah, new chrome primary and gloss black inspection cover
routed clutch cable.
clutch cable guide from a 2016 sportster custom
cable being guided
chrome levers... drag specialties sucks... had to adjust the bore on the brake lever... fat drill bit and the power drill fixed the manufacturing errors that made the lever hard to move.
done....
rear of the bike is next.

any ideas on why all the primary fluid was gone?
The guy that was upset about his stage 4 48 must have been looking for torque and speed in the normal 2-4 rev range. The torque feels about the same as before but, constant and near immediate bike will snaych you and then just keep pulling to 7k. The higher the revs, the faster it goes ( and, currently, hotter it gets). Kinda scary.
see at ~4:30:in the vid in the link.

the heat is a problem. a lower rocker gasket leak has developed on the rear cylinder. .... gotta catch that heat demon pokemon.
i think it's a poorly adjusted rear exhaust push rod. Could be 100% wrong and probably am.

I have the 575 not the 585. The 585s are in the kit. The 536s and 575 behave almost the same from my understanding of all this... http://www.nrhsperformance.com/tech_...s536cams.shtml
