Hey all. Im brand new to this forum...Im building a custom bike and have a harley softail oil tank. The one with the hard oil lines and the clips to hold them in. Anyway I want to find adapters if any to convert the clips to a male connector to run rubber lines. Is there such a thing?
What is the best was to convert the hard lines to soft lines seeing as the holes in the oil tank are not threaded???
I know someone posted a similar question but I can't find it. Looking for even a way to drill, tap or use the clips with a special fitting to change the hard lines to rubber.
Thanks
Cheers

That won't work. The lines as in the picture I posted has plastic clips to hold the hard lines in. There are no threaded holes. I believe the tank is from a 2005 harley softail
Can you cut the original line then use a hose clamp to hold the rubber line? That would allow you to have the original clip on style.
Thought of that. Issues is if I cut them they are not flared to help grip it but it may work. One line is a breathing line and the other a return so it's not high pressure but I was just hoping for a special clip.
You can cut the steel lines and then use a pipe flaring tool . Make sure to use a bubble flare. That way it wont damage the hose when putting it on. I would not trust a hose and clamp by itself without a flare on a chrome line.
