agreed, I found the spokes hard to keep clean. The chrome hoops were easy, but whatever coating the MoCo uses for the spokes is crap. My bike is now 7 years old, 11K miles, definitely a garage queen, and the spokes were corroded and looked horrible.

A few calls to Hogpro Wheels in SoCal fixed my nasty spoke problem. And no more tubes!

Get the 150x16 E4s if you want dunlops. New tire. Sort a combo Elite and E3... I'm hoping the same mileage as E3s, about 8500, which was better than the Elites, about 4500.. Bikes were 95 ci 02 rk and a 103 ci egc. Got about 6000 out of a 402 on egc when it was stage 1 96 ci.

Yep I'm running spokes on my 2009 FLHTCU and I always replace the tubes and strips when doing tires

Why I won't run spoke wheels anymore... yeah someone should have caught that before it got to that point but they didn't. I'm thankful I heard the air leaking out when I had stopped at my fathers house. The chrome is filthy because I held on to the wheel for a long time to show folks, it was perfect from the outside right up to the time it failed.

Honestly, now I'll but whatever set is on sale, as long as its reputable (Dunlop, Metz etc)

Metz just had an $88 rebate going on for a set of 888s. Picked up a set, w/ rebate, just over $200/set.
