Default Rain gear

So my wife and I have been using our Frogg Toggs for the last few years.
We get the usual leaks in heavy rain at the neck, the waist, and the feet.
Also I had to add heat shield fabric to the leg so the exhaust doesn't melt the left leg.

I was searching for a new option and happened upon Ride Tribe.

It is a one piece rain suit that zips from the neck down each leg.
They tout it as the "world’s only 20 second motorcycle rain gear!"
It has Nomex heat shields below the knee for heat and exhaust.
And it is small. The whole thing takes up less space then either the top or bottoms of the Frogg Toggs.

At $207 for 2xl they aren't bad on price either
I wish had heard about these earlier.
Not that I want to ride in the rain, but I am slightly excited to try them out.

I am not affiliated in any way, just happy I stumbled across them.

Here is their video.

I have Nelson-Rigg. It has worked out well in the downpours.

I have never understood why there aren't more one piece suits. It just makes sense the less pieces the less potential for leaks.

Trash bags might work. Just cut holes for your arms and head.

I wanted to check them out, but Bitdefender has their website flagged as malware!

Cheers!

I'm of the opinion if you buy cheap you buy twice. I have a HD 2 piece rain suit, it's 5 years old, stays in my saddlebags all year round in the sweltering heat, gets used quite frequently because it rains a lot here. It's never leaked, I've washed it in the washing machine a few times. Oh and it doesn't melt on the pipes.

Frogg Toggs are walkin' around rain gear; they're not designed for motorcycling. I have a set that I took on the road with me when I was trucking. They remind me of the $10.00 rain suits I wore back in the seventies. I now have a Harley Davidson rain suit that rides in my Road King's saddlebag. I also have a Tourmaster rain suit that a lot heavier, and it works very well. I wear Gore-tex boots, and no longer pack rain boots.

Been using the Harley Hi-Viz 2 piece for 2 seasons. On my 3rd set because of leaks that happened in the seat of the pants. But this 3rd set has been dry so far.
Thankfully the leaks occurred during the exchange/return period. Had to exchange the entire set each time.
As they say, the 3rd time was the charm for me.

I bought a rain suit in a waterproof bag- pants, top, and boot covers over 2 years ago.
Still haven't used it because I Buffalo Butter my leather jacket, boots, and over pants.
