I have the innovative storage solutuions caddysack pouches. They replace the tethers and give you several pouches to store items in. The guy who runs taht company is easy to deal with and stands behind his products. I got my set as a gift and was given the ones for the pre 14 bags which didn't fit. He exchanged them at a rally that we were both attending no questions ask.

I also have the suitcases that he sells. I got the ones that leave a little space at teh rear of the saddlebag that gives me a spot for raingear etc without going into my suitcase. Been very happy with the bags, the company and the owner. He also sells holsters if you have that need.

I use the IS1 as well. Very happy with it. It keeps my stuff organized and the pouches fit inside the grooves at the bottom of the saddlebag.

This is untested on a trip, but in 2 weeks I'll be using some freezer poly ziplock bags for some stuff. You'd be surprised how many different types there are, and b/c they're for the freezer, they are pretty tough. Obvious benefit is you don't need to use a Sharpie to label...you just see what's in there. I also usually carry some Walmart/grocery store bags for carrying dirty stuff, like wet clothes, muddy shoes, stinky underwear.

I did the same thing. Used the zipper style freezer bags. Rolled my clothes up. Stuffed them in the bag. Then I was able to compress all the air out which makes it even smaller. I didn't go as far as laying out 1 days worth of clothes in each bag. You can see what's what, like you said, right through the bag. Tools, duct tape, WD, and heavier items in the bottom of the saddlebags, clothes on top. I have a tour pak too. I packed snacks, gps (just in case, but try not to use it. Takes the fun and adventure out of a trip.), rain gear, and stuff that you just want to keep handy in there.

I started out with these. IS-1 from eglidegoodies. They re well thought out tool pouches for the dead space in the bottom of you bags. You can get a lot of tools in there if you think about what you might need on the road.

i never warmed up to anything i found..
i went with fully adjustable vertical dividers,
held in place with hinged cleats and velcro runners.

tempered hardboard with hinged cleats.
setting dividers in place is impossible if not for the hinges.

pics turned out bad , hope theyre clear enough..
first pic is current config.
second pic just shows hinged cleats on divider.

big bay hold tool roll and spare gas.
narrow bay hold tablet, battery pack, cables etc.

right side shown, left side has different features and config.

had everyting on hand zept spray paint..so zero cost.

I grabbed the wrap around tool holder that fits on a bucket from Home depot. Cut them in half and used one for each saddle bag. Made some aluminum straps to hold the pouch up. used 3/4 inch allen head stainless screws, and changed out the stock pins and backing lugs to Home depot heavy duty c clips and the thumb screws. I will add a picture of the thumb screws in the near future.

Home Depot and Lowes sell handy canvas bags that work great for organizing stuff yet provide flexibility depending on the situation. I use those plus the organizer the MoCo sells that outs on the inside walls of the saddlebag which are secured via Dzus fasteners.
