I just ordered the king for 2015 RGS Denim Black a few days ago and I appreciate all the pictures that displayed two different sizes on those later models. I am glad that I made the right choice with king. Thanks....
I finally got my tour pack. I thought I ordered a "razor" but it looks more like a "chopped" pack. Either way I like it, and my half face polo style helmet fits in it! The brand name is Bagger Brothers.
When I was looking for a tour pak I asked similar questions. Mine was aftermarket or OE. Everyone said OE. So that is what I did and am glad I did. After I got the pak, changed the hardware to Black. I went with the Chopped since I ride Solo. I got the Solo detachable and had it powder coated Black since it only comes Chrome. Now I am looking for a King Bottom in Amber Whiskey. This way when I go on a good road trip would be able to put more in it along with my full face. Here is a Picture of my set up. I am sitting on the Mustang Vintage Low Profile seat. There is one downfall to the Solo Detachable bracket. Unless you are a tall person with long arms it is difficult to lean against the pak and hold the hand grips. But that's okay, with this seat and handle bars don't need the lower back support.
Man the bike looks great. I considering the same set up, which aftermarket company did you decide on for that box?
Thanks

Thanks Lefty, I didn't use aftermarket. I bought everything for the tour pak through Horny Toad HD. Mention to to Jim (Parts Mngr) you are a
HD Forum member and you get 20% off. Of course there is shipping added, however it was still cheaper than paying full price locally.
Here is a more recent pic of what all I have done with her. My brother asked me the other day how many changes or add ons I have done, counted about 35 so far hahaha

I was looking into the OEM chopped with Hot Rod red @ 1300.00
I know a local paint shop that can get this color and quoted me 500.00 to paint, the paint costs 350.00.
My question, Is this tour pack from Bagger bros worthy of a 500.00 paint job? I'm speaking from a quality standpoint.
Thanks
I have a '16 SGS, I got a plain king tour pak with the big backrest and detachable hardware, no lights, speakers, or rack. It's great when needed, easy on, easy off.
I'll be going with the King, for similar reasons as posted.
Not sure I like the armchair look though. Doesnt look as fluid as the Ultras look etc.
Would the King TP fit with my existing passenger back rest? My wife likes the look and the comfort of what we already have and it would save us a few bucks as well. I've searched everywhere and can't find where anyone has made this work.

The pack itself nice quality, the latches on the other hand are not the best quality. They don't suck, but they are definitely not "top notch". The one thing I don't like is that it has to stay locked to be closed. I may switch them out, but otherwise it's cool.
In my opinion the King is the only way to go. The razor just looks silly and totally defeats the purpose of a tour pak. And the chopped isn't much better.
I agree w/ this 100%! If you're going to do it. Why wouldn't you want the most room. The razor just doesn't make sense to me. It looks like you could only carry a ream or two of paper in that thing. I'm sure you can put more but looking at them in photos really seems like there's only one choice (for me). That's a king tour pak.
