Picked up a tag a long trailer today. Apprently they are being discontinued.
Got mine for $149.00. Had to call around to see who had one in stock. I didn't get it assembled yet, but it will come in handy for next years trip.
I have read that it's best to replace the small 8" tires with the 12" ones they sell. Anyone have experience with just keeping the small wheels on it? Also, there are no torque specs with the instructions, any good info out here on how tight things need to be? I don't want to break bolts by going too tight.

I'll post some pics when it's together.
For best results, extend the tongue 12 inches, weld the corners of the frame, and use 3/4 plywood for a base. I have built and sold several of these.
i just pulled mine to surgis and back which totaled about 1800 miles round trip. i went with the 8 inch wheels because the trailer sat level when it is attached to the hitch on the bike. that was the second time to SD with it behind the bike. grease the bearings and go.
Previous owner had picked up the Harbor Freight "kit" and found it too small. He wanted a small trailer for general use, he didn't own a bike.
I bought it, like new, with 12" tires, installed a car top carrier, bought a used hitch for the bike and wiring harness.
Tried it out in town, worked great. Moved 300 miles away, pretty much right after. Towed it empty with the bike to the new place. As soon as I would get close to 60mph the bike would start to wobble like crazy, almost lost it a couple of times. Had to stay at 55mph the whole trip.
Sold the trailer at a loss to a guy with a small car
Broke even with the hitch and harness
