Expedited shipping Haha

The instructions have pictures printed by laserjet so they look like a big black blob. Here's a great video that tells you everything you need to know, what they leave out is an included spacer for your right foot
board. They don't include anti seize or loctite (blue).

The rear 02 sensor is easy to unplug and get off but the front sensor is in an awkward location, I didn't even unplug it, I just unscrewed it and left it dangling and twisted it backwards prior to reinstalling it on the new header. I just didn't want to cut every wire loom zip tie for a single O2 sensor. Also, start with the front header first, not the rear as shown in the video.

Post up a pic when you're done. I suspect after all said and done about 4 hours including uploading a new map and putting away all your tools.

Question, are you kinda ticked off you spent the money on the dyno now that you're changing the head pipe? The map will change the entire setup now.

Me? No dyno tune here. DynoJet had a canned tune for my setup with the TAB muffs, so I used that for my base and then I autotuned it for the final tune with my PV-2. I'm all set. I'll retune when I get the header on.

Thanks for the tips and tricks, and the video. All helpful stuff.

Should we expect a full length video of the install?
I know you will at least have one of the sound after the install. A couple people keep asking me if I feel a seat of the pants difference and honestly I don't.
It just feels more like an HD than before.

I'll check back in when I get time.

Cheers

No install video. LOL. I'll get a sound clip when I have some time. I definitely now have the sound I wanted. Nice and deep with the TAB muffs. Sounds like a hot rod now. I'm stoked. I agree with you, it now has the Harley feel. Seems like more hp up top. Some observations:
  1. I can actually hear some nice sounds from the left side of the bike
  2. Good torque and pull
  3. Deep exhaust note at idle and getting on it
  4. Super cool note on rev (sounds like a drag car)
Some installation observations:
  1. The instructions kind of suck
  2. Some shield adjustment was necessary (just one)
  3. The front pipe flange access is tight and limited
  4. I absolutely could not get the front to pop in without removing the brake pedal
  5. Absolutely DO NOT remove the brake pedal
  6. Again, DO NOT remove the brake pedal
If you hadn't guessed, the brake pedal removal turned into a debacle. It came off easily, but the new pipe didn't allow enough clearance to go back in. I ended up having to unbolt the rear brake master cylinder, and remove the motor mount retainer plate. It was a 2-hour detour that left a lot to be desired. It's a good thing that the end result was exactly what I was after.

Thanks for the tips!

We have the exact same bike, I didn't remove the brake pedal, in fact it never was an issue, how weird is that? I'm glad you like the pipe. I'm still missing the deep loud exhaust I'm waning for.

Next up, motor work.

I just ordered a 2018 street glide. I’m being told that the stock exhaust is supposed to sound pretty decent. I have not heard one run yet so I don’t know what it sounds like. I love the sound of the Rienhart, and heard they are easy to install. I’m not sure if I’ll keep the stock pipes or change them out. Does anyone have any advice?

Looks great. I went with the V&H PDs just because they were out first, if the Rinehart header was available then I might have went that route. Either way they look classy on your bike.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I tried from all angles, and it was 1/4" off and up against the pedal. I've installed a few systems in my day, but this thing was out to get me. It got done, and I'm happy with the results. That's all that matters.
