I think I have made up my mind, the oil pressures were fine before the Axtell, so probably going to remove it rather than spending another $400 for a different cooler since I already have one. Just wish I would have known about these issues before I let them talk me into the Axtell. As the old saying goes DON'T FIX IT IF IT AINT BROKE!!!
Im almost done building a 2015 RG with a 117 Drago motor. I did install the Axtell bypass and the Zippers dual piston tensioners. I also installed the Rockout rocker shaft shims. After installing the same on my 09 with a Drago 117 I experienced about the quietest TwinCam I have seen, especially with aftermarket cams. Im looking for the same with the new build. I am still running the stock Harley oil cooler so I hope that doesnt cause a problem. I dont understand why the stock oil cooler would be problematic and others would not as they all have the same basic construction and it is basically a straight through device. I guess we will see!
Yes you can. That part of the CAM plate is elevated out. Just be careful when punching out the pin. As you can see I used tin foil just in case.
Thanks for the info!!!
My oil psi is running about 10-12 psi higher then normal. Tried the sending and that didnt fix it. Everything Ive been reading is the pressure relief is stuck. I didnt want to get into pulling the cam plate. This is awesome news.

Not sure either, but thats what they said when we talked to them. I know some coolers use thermostats and some don't.

I'll give them a call tomorrow to see what the problem could be. Thermostats in oil coolers just redirect the oil, don't really see that being the problem. If it is I'll just replace the harley adapter with one from Jagg. Probably should have done that anyway, the Jagg puts the oil lines under the oil filter, looks better.

I would be interested in what they tell you, if you don't mind.
