I am sure this has been covered at some point, but can seem to find any old threads. I have a complete tour pack off a 2013 ultra with speaker pods, and would like to install on my bike part time. I am pretty good at adapting ,But I have been told it can't be done. That in order to put a tour pack on it can not be earlier than a 14, Is that true?

Nope not true.......yes you can....get the rack for your year SGS...you will need a 4 point docking set up....i believe the holes should line up, if not you can always drill new ones....you can then connect the lights to the SGS...maybe not the speakers, but you would have to ask HD...Really not that hard to do.
Hell !!!! I relocated a king tour pak from my '05 road king to my 2017 SGS...
Only for showing purposes, check to get the correct one for your 2014 SGS
The docking is no issue , have a quick release backrest for the wife... Do I need to splice into the harness or is there already a connector end waiting to be used, and just need to acquire the male or female end?

I bet you already have a ready connect, it's on the left side behind the side panel...i had to make one as I was using a 2005 RK pak....not too hard...my lights on tour pak are on/stop/directionals....oh and I have a lighted wing on top of the pak...yes they can see me....
Ok , thats what I thought. I have the shop manuals for it and that's how it looked. But when I went and asked the HD mech. He was like it can't be done..
Thank you very much I really appreciate

Did cut into the harness or use a existing connector?
I used the existing female connector that is on the SGS, had to buy male connector for tour pak, worse part for me was trying to find schematic for wiring.... but it's working great...

That's crap....go into HD and speak to the "electrical" expert every one has one person that will tell you the truth. They just want to sell you a new pak....total crap, on their part.
Make sure you rig something to keep the wiring from laying on your rear fender. It won't take long to wear through the paint. The fixed mount has a shelf that the wiring harness lays on. But the detachable bracket doesn't have that shelf.
