Default V&H FP3 tuner dilemma

I recently purchased an FP3 tuner after waiting for it to on sale. I’ve been waiting to purchase it for a while in preparation for a muffler upgrade and to optimize my current setup. After removing the battery cover I noticed that it already has this cobra fi2000 tuner.

I would just remove it and replace it with the new one, but this one is wired in, as opposed to the plug in play of the FP3 tuner. There are a lot of wires in that box and I don’t have electrical engineering experience, especially since it has an additional rear fender light, heated grips, and a battery tender all connected in there. Can I plug in the FP3 as well, or do I need to remove the other one first? If I do need to replace, how ould I go about disconnecting the cobra tuner?

thx!

It looks like the Cobra tuner you have connects to both the Original O2 sensors and the Fuel injectors.

The closest installation instructions I could fine are here:

Just do one connection at a time to make sure you don't mix front/rear o2 or injector connections as you remove them.

It might be a little late but the Power Vision is more user friendly in my opinion.

That's what you call a "piggy back type tuner". It gets wired into the bike all sorts of spots. You're going to want to remove that mess if you plan to use the FP3 which is a "flash type tuner".

I don't have experience with the Cobra tuners, but can you return the FP3 and just use the Cobra? Just thinking out loud...

This shouldn't be too difficult, as long as it wasn't hacked on installation, and there's no reason to do that. I'd start by disconnecting the O2 sensors and the move to the injectors. As long as the original connectors are still there, just plug them back in. Chances are there is some extra tape and cable ties holding the cobra in place, be patient and you should be able to sell the Cobra when you're done. I would run the bike first before installing another tuner to get a base butt dyno feel.
