Flames are such a traditional part of a Wide Glide, I couldn't have it any other way. You'll like some flames on your ride
The only real visual change I've done is her fork tubes grew longer again; I can't wait to see it out in the sun again, this should be over the top
Disconnect the fuel line, loosen the rear tank mount, unbolt the front tank mount, stuff a rag between the tank tunnel and the frame to support it at different heights, step back and see how it looks to you.
I ended up with having the bottom of the tank even with the very top of the rocker covers (1.60"). I made some brackets out of a couple of strips of metal, threaded rod, a pipe, chrome acorn nuts and washers.
