Yes it is. It’s just dusty.

Had same problem on windshield hitting cable fittings. You can either move handlebars back or add small spacer on windshield bracket.
Regarding mounting hardware- I lined the grommets up with bracket and used lock tight. Air presuure forces windhield backward, not forward. Even though the windshield may feels loose on grommets, it is not going anywhere.

Did you add a spacer on windshield bracket? If so, can you share details? Thx

You will need to get longer bolts that go thru windshield and brackets. I added plastic spacers between windshield and brackets to lift shield off cables.

Thanks for feedback. How thick did you go on spacers? Where did you source them?

I always thought the spacing was done poorly... Mine rests right on the hydraulic live. Been afraid to change the bars because I'm afraid it would get even worse, and I really like riding with the shield.

It's really annoying given the cost and wait!

Sorry for delay. The lift is from harbor freight. It was like $90. It gets the job done. It seems to bend a little when under an off centered load but seems like it is up for the task.

yes I got the 67800366 kit. No switch, just hard wired into the low beam wire on the headlight by creating my own harness. Turn signals I cut and spliced at the fork in the wiring and left the remaining in the bars vs pulling them out. Given wire runs I ended soldering all the wires to the lamps and turn signals right behind the forks so ended up with a larger wire shealthing than I wanted but still can't see it unless you know where to look. Take your time. Worth the effort. As for the spacers I ended up using two of the windshield install kits plus some chrome spacers I got from Home Depot.

However, if your bike is like mine and there’s not enough room or correct angle to safely get an Allen socket in there, you will have to do what I have to do and have outlined below from a previous post...
Or, you can enlarge the holes above the allen bolts (Dremel) so you can easily access them.
